OVERVIEW

Rare opportunity exists for a Mid level full-stack Developer to join our emerging business that focuses on building digital games and data driven products for the sports industry. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the technical lead with the management of distributed development team.
  • Assist with performance testing, improvement techniques and caching solutions required.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Expertise with modern web development using PHP, MySQL/Aurora, Backbone.js, AngularJS, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Git, MySQL, Unix required.  Experience in building custom PHP applications for high traffic websites a plus.
  • Experience building and integrating APIs and data feeds in real-time environments.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling with XML, JSON, YAML required.
  • Knowledge of OWASP 10 and the latest security vulnerabilities required.
  • Experience in Object Oriented PHP, Redis, Kohana is a plus.
  • Experience building APIs, web services with Jenkins and Continuous integration is a plus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of performance testing, improvement techniques and caching solutions required.
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with and influencing team members and business partners at all levels in a corporate environment required.

OVERVIEW

We have an opening in our London office for an Account Executive. It’s a hybrid role across two different departments (business development and production), so we are looking for someone flexible and who is keen to get involved in different aspects of FanHub’s work. In some ways, it’s truly end-to-end, helping to bring new business into the company and also being involved in the delivery of those products.

At least half of the role will be in business development, working with the UK General Manager in growing FanHub’s UK and European client base. As part of business development aspect, your role will involve:

  • Researching companies who might be interested in fan engagement products
  • Contacting prospects with a view to securing a meeting
  • Preparing presentations for meetings and for RFPs
  • Attending business development meetings and presenting our products to clients and prospects
  • Be involved in brainstorming meetings, both internal and external, to come up with new and innovative ways to engage fans (based on client objectives)
  • Account managing clients, particularly those whom you have helped bring in. This includes regular updates, reviews and also looking for new opportunities within those clients
  • Helping to negotiate and close deals with prospects
  • Keeping track of business development conversations via FanHub’s online CRM system
  • Reporting internally on business development activities from the London office
  • Sharing knowledge and proposals with FanHub’s AU and US offices

As part of the production aspect, you will be involved in the production of all of FanHub’s fan engagement products. You will work on each stage of production, from the early requirements-gathering stage, through the build phase and right through to testing and release. This will include:

  • Assist the production team, ensuring new products are delivered in-line with business requirements and meet customer expectations.
  • Helping to gather requirements from the client in terms of product features
  • Organising external help where needed, such as translators or support shifts
  • Quality assurance and thorough testing of products, on desktop, mobile web, Android and iOS apps
  • Help to ensure user queries are being dealt with efficiently
  • Assist with the customer support efforts for the entire suite of products. Primarily this will entail monitoring and responding to email and social support queries. This may include weekend and after hours support.
  • Contribute to the team’s timely delivery of regular BAU work including: product bugs, new content/fresh pages, content updates/take-downs, copy changes, legal requests, publishing content etc.

  • Support FanHub Producers as the experience design advocate throughout the project lifecycle, by conducting research, subjecting designs to usability/user testing and/or expert review, and offering implementation suggestions from a user-centered perspective
  • Lead ideation workshops and the creation of UX artifacts to help clients un-pack their vision, pain points and align this with customer centered design principles.
  • Be accountable for the quality and continuous improvement of experience design and UX Research at FanHub
  • Support FanHub’s Head of Product in devising and implementing the processes and systems required to support world class experience design at FanHub
  • Collaborate with the Product and Development teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and sitemaps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
